Speaker 1: If the drug test is truly voluntary, you should not agree to it. You should immediately consult with an experienced health law attorney that defends nurses in such situations. Often such drug tests will turn up use of prescription medications that your employer may not know about. Medications that are perfectly legal for the nurse to use, but that might cause your employer to take action against you because the employee does not agree that you should be working while you’re on such medications.
