The Health Law Firm has represented owners of Assisted Living Facilities (ALFs) and Nursing Facilities in the foreclosure and eviction of lessees, operators and managers who had breached their contracts or defaulted on their lease payments. In many cases the operator has had action taken against it by the Agency for Health Care Administration, the regulatory authority in Florida. In order to attempt to save the license of the facility the owner must take immediate and decisive action.
Since legal action can have consequences such as premature calling of notes and loans by their lenders, or may otherwise compromise their collateral and viability as an ongoing business, it is crucial to have attorneys who are familiar with the licensing and regulatory requirements of the state agency.
