This complaint involved allegations of breach of contract, violation of the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (FDUTPA) (or Florida’s “Mini-FTC Act”), and violations of the Racketeer Influenced Criminal Organization (RICO) Act, all of which were upheld by the Court. For a copy of a complaint this firm used to sue a hospital on behalf of a physician who was being unfairly labeled as a “disruptive physician, after he was removed from the hospital’s emergency room call schedule and not allowed to stand call anymore, click here. This complaint contains a cause of action by a physician for being taken off of the emergency room call schedule. This case involved allegations of breach of contract, tortious interference with business relations, violation of due process of law, defamation, and conspiracy, among others.
