I am a doctor contemplating an employment relationship with a hospital. Should I sign the agreement even though I have not had an attorney review it?

Speaker 1: It is never recommended to sign a contract with any entity without having your health lawyer review it. There can be terms that you don't understand in there. There's can be paragraphs and clauses that have significant meanings. There are things that could be traps for you in the future. You should have somebody go over the contract with you and explain it to you. Never sign a contract without having somebody review it with you and make sure you understand every provision, and then obtain a signed copy of that contract back from your employer afterwards.
