Investigations against veterinarians as well as formal and informal hearings involving veterinarian licenses are governed by the Florida Administrative Procedure Act (Chapter 120, Florida Statues) and the Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.). In this respect, they are similar to the proceedings that apply to medical doctors and other who are licensed by the Department of Health (a different agency from Department of Business and Professional Regulation).
