VIVIONNE N. BARKER JOINS THE HEALTH LAW FIRM
Orlando, Fla. - June 9, 2015 - The Health Law Firm is pleased to announce that Vivionne N. Barker, J.D., M.S., has joined the firm as an attorney at its main office in Altamonte Springs. Her areas of practice include health law, criminal defense, white collar criminal defense, Medicare fraud defense, Medicaid fraud defense, civil litigation, business law, contracts and administrative law. Ms. Barker has worked extensively in matters involving the representation of licensed health care workers, those charged in criminal matters, negotiating the purchase and sale of health care practices, and contract review for health care professionals. She has also negotiated and structured various contracts and agreements for health care providers.
Ms. Barker earned her Juris Doctor (J.D.) in 2003 from The Florida State University, her Master in Science (M.S.) from Florida A&M University, and her bachelor’s degree from Morehead State University in Kentucky. She has written for the Smithsonian Institute and the Bankruptcy Institute in Washington, D.C., and The Capital Outlook newspaper in Tallahassee, Florida.
Ms. Barker is a member of the Orange County Bar Association, the Lake County Bar Association, the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (FACDL), and the Central Florida Association of Women Lawyers (CFAWL). She is a member of the Umatilla Chapter of Kiwanis and actively volunteers with local youths through the Justice Teaching program and local Teen Court programs.
With offices in Florida and Colorado, The Health Law Firm’s primary focus is representing health care providers.
