Orlando, Fla. – February 20, 2013 - Alexa Eastwood, legal assistant with The Health Law Firm, delivered a presentation to more than 200 people at the Orlando PechaKucha. The event took place on Friday, February 8, 2013, at The Orange Studio on Mills Avenue in Orlando. PechaKucha is a new international phenomenon that is sweeping the nation.

PechaKucha features some of the most interesting people in Orlando presenting on a wide variety of subjects. Ms. Eastwood was one of ten presenters. Each presenter prepared 20 slides and had 20 seconds to talk about each. Ms. Eastwood gave her presentation on “Becoming a Savage.” She spoke about her experiences in preparing for and completing an intense six mile obstacle run, called the Savage Race, while coping with lifelong asthma. Her humorous presentation, illustrated with a number of self-reflective slides, brought down the house.

In 2003, two architects, Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham, held the first PechaKucha in Tokyo. It was originally created as a forum for fellow architects to share ideas in a timely manner, with a strictly enforced time limit of 400 seconds each. PechaKucha is now in more than 500 cities across the world, and presenters can talk about any topic they are passionate about.
