Orlando, Fla. - May 15, 2017 - George F. Indest III, President and Managing Partner of The Health Law Firm, along with attorney Michael L. Smith, received recertification in Health Law on behalf of The Florida Bar's Board of Legal Specialization and Education (BLSE). Both Mr. Indest and Mr. Smith, met the standards of certification and are Board Certified Specialists in Health Law.
As board certified attorneys, Mr. Indest and Mr. Smith have been acknowledged by the Supreme Court of Florida as having distinct special knowledge, skills and proficiency in the practice area of Health Law. Additionally, both Mr. Indest and Mr. Smith have been recognized for their character, ethics and reputation of professionalism in the practice of law.
The Supreme Court of Florida states that attorneys who are board certified, have a special responsibility to maintain high standards of conduct and professionalism. George F. Indest III, is a well-known attorney both in the local community and statewide. He represents primarily physicians, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, medical groups, licensed health facilities and other health providers in Florida and throughout the U.S. He is Board Certified by The Florida Bar in the legal specialty of Health Law. He is a member of the executive counsel of The Health Law Section of The Florida Bar, as well as a certified legal specialist by the U.S Navy in Health Law and International Law. His practice encompasses all aspects of health law. In 1999, Mr. Indest started The Health Law Firm, which now has offices in Central Florida and Colorado.

Michael L. Smith is a board certified attorney in Health Law by The Florida Bar. He represents physicians and other health care providers in business, corporate, transactional, regulatory and administrative health law matters. Mr. Smith is admitted to practice in all Florida State Courts, as well as the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. He has been a registered respiratory therapist since 1981, and still maintains an active license in Florida as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Mr. Smith has also served on the Board of Directors for the Mental Health Association of Central Florida, Inc., from 2003 through 2009, and the Executive Committee from 2006 through 2009.
