Orlando, Fla. – June 15, 2015 - Lance O. Leider, J.D., an attorney with The Health Law Firm, has been selected to the 2015 Florida Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars list. No more than 2.5 percent of lawyers in each state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this prestigious award.

Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 various practice areas. The Super Lawyers lists are published nationwide in Super Lawyers Magazines as well as in leading city and regional magazines across the country. Those who qualify have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement in areas such as awarded honors, special licensing and certifications, community service and notable verdicts and settlements. The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area. The Rising Stars list is compiled using the same process as the Super Lawyers list with a few exceptions. To be included in Rising Stars, the candidate must be either 40 years old or younger, or in practice for 10 years or less. While no more than 5 percent of the lawyers in a state are named to Super Lawyers, no more than 2.5 percent are named to Rising Stars. For Mr. Leider's Rising Stars profile, click here.

Mr. Leider’s vast list of accomplishments and community involvement have deservedly earned him his place on the 2015 Rising Stars List. Mr. Leider represents primarily physicians, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, medical groups, licensed health facilities, and other health providers in Florida and throughout the U.S. As an attorney with The Health Law Firm, some of Mr. Leider’s highlights include assisting a North Carolina Medicaid provider in reducing a $1.4 million Medicaid overpayment demand by more than 98 percent, defending an Indian Health Service physician from revocation of his DEA registration, and successfully appealing a Board of Pharmacy decision revoking a pharmacist’s license. Mr. Leider is extremely active in the community. He presents lectures to Orlando-area medical students and residents on a variety of topics and is a regular presenter at Seminole County Medical Society meetings. He is also an author on The Health Law Firm blogs and on West Law.
