Health Law Firm’s Chris Brown Honored For Pro Bono Work

Orlando, Fla. - July 2016 - Christopher E. Brown, a long time employee of Central Florida’s The Health Law Firm was recently honored as a Pro Bono Champion on behalf of the Public Interest Committee of the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA).

Chris received this award primarily due to his pro bono work on veterans’ appeals. Robert R. Niccolini, Chair, AHLA Public Interest Committee congratulated Brown by stating, “Your commitment to improving the lives of those who are least able to afford necessary legal services but who needs them the most reflects the best of the AHLA’s Public Interest mission to give back to communities through education and service.”

Mr. Brown has practiced health care law on an exclusive basis since graduating from Barry University School of Law in May 2009. He represents physicians, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, massage therapists and other health care providers on a wide range of professional issues. His practice encompasses both health law and administrative law. Mr. Brown is involved in the representation of health care providers in licencing matters, the defense of health professionals in Medicaid audit cases, prepares appeals of administrative law cases, commercial litigation in state courts, preparation and negotiation of contracts and has experience negotiating with the Professionals Resource Network (PRN).

One of Mr. Brown’s strengths is physician contracting. Because of his experience, he was featured in an American Medical News Article, called “Physician Employment: Build a Contract That Suits You.”
