HEALTH LAW FIRM'S BEDOYA SWORN IN AS ATTORNEY

Orlando, Fla. - April 2016 - Michelle Bedoya, a long time employee of Orlando's The Health Law Firm, was admitted to The Florida Bar on April 14, 2016.  Ms. Bedoya, who had previously been a law clerk at the firm, passed the bar exam and was sworn in at a ceremony at Barry University of Orlando School of Law. The February 2016 bar exam for Florida had a passage rate of only 58.4 percent, being the hardest bar exam to pass in over 33 years. Ms. Bedoya will be practicing health law as an associate attorney at The Health Law Firm.

Ms. Bedoya had eight years of prior experience working in home health compliance and regulations.  She has authored two published law articles, one for the Barry Law Review and one for the DePaul Journal of Health Care Law. While in law school, Ms. Bedoya was a Dean’s Study Fellow for the Center of Academic Success. Due to her legal writing skills, Michelle was selected to be a teaching assistant for Barry's Legal Research and Writing Department.  During this time, she authored, implemented, and taught numerous academic workshops, specializing in the areas of Contracts and Legal Research and Writing. During her final year of law school, Michelle was President of the American Constitution Society and was a Research Assistant to a law professor.  She is also fluent in Spanish.
